At the Same Table was created by a student organisation at the Singapore American School named "A Hand for Migrant Workers." Sparked by a genuine care for those often overlooked in our society, A Hand for Migrant Workers aspires to spread awareness in ways that can alleviate existing prejudice and support the migrant workers and foreign domestic helpers of Singapore. 

This cookbook is the result of a nine-month-long effort by the team to curate recipes from a wide variety of cuisines, build trust, and document these heartfelt stories with care. From recipe collection to interviews to tastings and editing, each stage of this process was more fulfilling and impactful than we could have imagined. We’ve heard stories of loss, successful businesses, childhood memories, family, friends, and everything in between. After countless hours spent editing, all of our files being deleted, and our favourite Sunday tastings, we are so proud to bring At the Same Table to you and your kitchen.
